Prestige Alarms, a leading security solutions provider, partnered with IQPC many years ago when they needed help recovering from a critical server failure. Since then, our partnership has grown to include support of their internal IT systems and collaborating on network infrastructure for one of their large WA government councils. Together, we successfully implemented network solutions spanning over two dozen sites, including several mobile units.

Server Recovery and Business Continuity

IQPC quickly mobilised their technical team to build and install a new server, recovering data from the failed server to ensure Prestige Alarms could return to full operational capacity with minimal downtime. Additionally, comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery strategies were implemented to mitigate future risks and ensure rapid recovery in case of similar issues.

Migration to SharePoint for Enhanced Collaboration

IQPC migrated Prestige Alarms’ data to SharePoint, providing a centralised platform for secure data access and collaboration. This migration facilitated remote access for employees, improved document sharing, and streamlined teamwork across different locations.

Migrated to Microsoft 365 Business Premium

IQPC migrated Prestige Alarms to Microsoft 365 Business Premium to establish a secure, compliant Standard Operating Environment (SOE). This ensured consistent security protocols across all devices, improved management of IT resources, and reduced the overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for maintaining staff devices by simplifying updates and reducing manual intervention.

Network Infrastructure for Local Council

IQPC collaborated closely with Prestige Alarms to plan, implement, and manage a complex network infrastructure for a large Perth government council. This collaboration ensured that Prestige Alarms could meet the council’s growing needs while adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring security.

Network Design and Co-Management

IQPC and Prestige Alarms worked together to design a scalable network, focusing on security and resiliency, that spanned dozens of local and remote sites, including mobile units.   • Server Recovery and Proactive Backup | The failed server was restored swiftly by IQPC’s expert technicians, who built and installed a new server and recovered critical data. A robust backup solution was deployed to ensure that Prestige Alarms would be able to recover critical systems quickly in the event of future hardware issues.   • Council Network Design and Collaboration | The collaboration with Prestige Alarms focused on designing a comprehensive and futureproof network for the council. IQPC led multiple workshops with key stakeholders to thoroughly understand requirements and identify the best solutions to meet those needs. Together, we scoped and designed a network that prioritised security, resilience, and scalability. The resulting design included advanced security measures, redundancy to minimise downtime, and a scalable design that ensured the network grew with future demands.
  • Multi-Site Network Implementation | IQPC utilised SD-WAN technology alongside Site-to-Site (S2S) VPN connections to create a secure, resilient network infrastructure spanning over 30 local and remote sites, including mobile units. This approach provided enhanced redundancy, optimised traffic management, and improved network resilience. Careful planning was undertaken to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations and seamless integration with existing IT systems.
